Drink a lot of water at least 2-4litres a day. Lukewarm water 1 hour after meals is beneficial.

Coconut water– soothes stomach and digestive system,
relieves heartburn.

Watermelon Juice, Pineapple Juice, Fresh Lime Juice helps
reduce uneasiness.

Chewing basil
leaves or drinking water boiled with basil leaves reduce acid reflux. Basil has
soothing and carminative properties.

Mint leaves
can also be used as it improves digestion, has a cooling effect and help in
decreasing burning sensation.

Foods like
banana, cucumber and yoghurt are known to give instant relief from acidity.
- Clove in mouth to reduce the symptoms. It is carminative in nature, thus prevents the formation of gas in the gastrointestinal tract.
- Ginger is the age old remedy, Chew it raw or drink water boiled with ginger.
- Cumin is again used in Indian cooking since ages due to its aroma, flavor and medicinal properties.
· Cumin/ Fennel/Carom seeds (or equal quantity mixture) or boil a teaspoon of all in a glass of water and boil until the water is reduced to half. Drink it on an empty stomach.

a natural antacid for stomach acidity and improves digestion and absorption. - Drink cold milk- give relief from acidity and also prevent acidic buildup in stomach.
- Aloe vera juice, rich in anti-inflammatory properties and
loaded with powerful vitamins, is again one of the best home remedies for
heartburn relief.
- Gooseberry
or Amla powder – Amla is also a handy remedy to
relieve acidity.
Rich in vitamin C, gooseberry helps in healing the food pipe and stomach lining. 1 TSF POWDER OR JUICE CAN HELP. - Ever wondered why our elders finish meal with ‘gur’? Jaggery helps boost intestinal strength owing to its high magnesium content.
- Apple cider vinegar has gained popularity lately.
1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar withwater every morning empty stomach helps reduce acidity and also aids weight loss. - It might sound strange but
chewing gum might actually offer relief from acidity. It leads to increased salivation which may help to get rid of acidity in the oesophagus.
